How to recreate the Victoria Beckham AW22 polished naturally textured hair

Backstage at Victoria Beckham AW22, natural texture was enhanced for effortless hair with a healthy, polished gleam.

Session stylist Cyndia Harvey created an easy, cool girl texture, designed to capture the natural movement of the hair and add extra shine.

“The collection has some amazing silhouettes this season, they’re strong and structured,” says Cyndia Harvey. “We wanted the hair to complement them and offer something a little softer, working with the pieces and not distracting from them. For example, we tucked hair into the oversized collars on the jackets, which gave that modern and typically VB feel.”

“The look for Victoria Beckham AW22 collection was natural, effortless hair. Victoria wanted the girl’s natural beauty and confidence to shine through. We did a centre parting on most of the girls, ensuring that it didn’t feel too perfect or forced, added some water and a little product such as ghd Pick Me Up Root Lift Spray or ghd Dramatic Ending Serum where needed.”

First, hair was prepped with heat protection “to create the perfect protection to ensure the hair doesn’t get damaged,” then mostly air-dried “to really capture the natural look.” “We styled the sections with the ghd Thin Wand to add some definition to any natural curls or waves,” says Cyndia Harvey, and “the ghd Unplugged Styler which is such a versatile tool and great for touch ups, to add any final extra waved motion in the hair and give it a little bit more texture to promote natural movement.” Finally, a spritz of hairspray to finish, “whilst teasing the hair to keep the texture locked in place.”
