A freelance stylist, personal shopper at Kildare Village and designer – amongst other things – Johanna Dooley loves to have fun with her fashion choices. From bright colours to quirky accessories, she always finds joy in getting dressed. Here she shares a week in her wardrobe.
MONDAY
No week is the same for me, which is my favourite thing about being a freelance stylist! I spent my Monday at home catching up on life admin and getting myself organised for the week ahead. Days at home are all about comfort for me. I’m wearing my Source Unknown blue stripe poplin pants and my go-to organic cotton graphic tee from my own brand, ToDyeFor by Johanna. I always love to have fun with my outfits and find myself purchasing funky socks and accessories.
I adore these Oliver Bonas polka-dot socks which I got as a gift from my friends, they know me too well! I’m wearing them with my Wales Bonner x adidas trainers that I sourced on Vestiaire. Lastly, my gabsluk smiley necklace worn as an anklet. Oh, and my favourite accessory is also featured: my golden retriever puppy, Wallace.
TUESDAY
I’m off to a fun event in town this evening and wearing this gorgeous Damson Madder bow print shirt. I gasped when I saw it online and added it to my cart immediately! I just adore the print, frill collar and balloon sleeves. I have paired it with my Source Unkown jorts, which I have worn multiple times. My shoes are blue lace slingback kitten heels from Russell & Bromley.
WEDNESDAY
A day trip to London for bridal appointments is my activity of the day – what a gorgeous mid-week treat! I’m getting married next year so the hunt for my dress is ON. I’m wearing one of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe, my Cecilie Bahnsen pistachio top. My favourite thing about it? The bow of course! I adore the colour too. I have lots of Cecilie Bahnsen pieces on my wishlist, I just love how relaxed, feminine and timeless her collections are. I wanted to keep it casual and comfortable so I paired this top with my go-to Lioness low-waisted jeans and my Chanel dad sandals.
THURSDAY
My weekend officially starts on a Thursday! I always think that if you have Thursday plans, the weekend feels so much longer. I’m off for drinks in one of my favourite places in Dublin, Glovebox. It’s super sunny so I’m feeling summery. I’m wearing a Missoni top which I rented from one of my friends, Helena. I love having fun with fashion and have always been a big fan of swapping clothes with friends. I have paired this top with my Prada shorts which I purchased on Vestiaire, my Loewe sunglasses that I cannot stop wearing since purchasing last year and my ASOS pink satin ballerinas which I found brand new on Depop.
FRIDAY
I always love to have fun with my outfit on a Friday. I’m definitely going for seventies vibes and I’m here for it. Today I have a personal shopping appointment with a client at Kildare Village. I am wearing a Sandro suede jacket, it’s oversized and from the men’s section and I am totally obsessed! I have paired this with a Claudie Pierlot stripe rib knit dress, both from Kildare Village, my Ganni clogs and my Celine sunglasses.
SATURDAY
I’m wearing a colourful knit vest by an all-round cool Irish girl, Hope Macaulay – such a fun piece! I’ve paired it with a midi denim skirt and my green Havaianas flip flops. My accessories include my bestie’s yellow Bottega bag, and my gabsluk anklet. The perfect casual weekend ‘fit in my opinion!
SUNDAY
I’m spending my Sunday working an event with one of my favourite brands, Missoni at Kildare Village. My relationship with this brand is dangerous for both my wardrobe and wallet! I find joy in getting dressed and this Missoni dress does just that. I spotted this dress in Kildare Village last year and I immediately knew I had to have it – an effortless staple in my wardrobe. Today I have paired it with my gold ballet flats from Mango. I also love this dress with my brown Ganni clogs that I picked up in a vintage store in Copenhagen, my pink LAAGAM bomber jacket and Chanel burgundy backpack from Designer Exchange.
