Josefina Alazraki is the founder of Casa Raki, a sustainable resort wear brand that will have you dreaming of lazy summer days by the pool. Here she shares a week in her wardrobe.
MONDAY
I love to start my week in an outfit that allows me to move freely between my family and work life. The Nina dress in 100% organic Belgian linen, worn here with my neutral Gizeh Birkenstocks, is the perfect stylish yet comfortable pairing. This dress, in the multi-taupe colourway, is ideal for transitioning from morning meetings to afternoon city strolls around Punta del Este later with my twin girls, Elena and Esmeralda.
TUESDAY
When I’m in Uruguay, I love to integrate moments of leisure into my working day. Here I am getting dressed for lunch by the pool in my summer house, wearing our Greta top in Moss, for a little poolside splash of colour. When I get the time, I love to saunter down to one of my favourite shops in Punte del Este – a secret, nameless and magical destination for antique lovers – located a couple of blocks away from a petrol station in the direction of the woods.
WEDNESDAY
My home office is a real sanctuary for me. Whether I’m in London or Uruguay, I often find myself reaching for our Nicola top and Emilia shorts in teal, or Nicoletta trousers (for cooler days) to wear as a two-piece set. Our collection is designed with the dynamic lives of our customers in mind so that the pieces pair seamlessly, in single-coloured coordinate-style sets or, in mixed-colour pairings. A top-to-toe linen look is easy, timeless and transitional.
THURSDAY
In the latter half of the week, I love to make time for visiting Uruguay’s beautiful beaches with my family and friends. The small beach town of José Ignacio is one of our favourite spots and this Ana top in black with a light linen shirt and sarong matches the easy, pared-back chic vibe of the town. Espacio Anam in José Ignacio is a beautiful gym, with a great morning yoga class, which I love to follow with a barefoot stroll down the sandy shores.
FRIDAY
Summer mornings in Punta del Este are so peaceful; as the week draws to a close, I love to take a morning swim in the pool or sea. It’s so important to me to take the time to enjoy being outdoors when I’m in Uruguay. Being at the beach or in the pool with my girls transports me back to my own childhood and is reminiscent of so many joyful times spent by the coast. Here I am, wearing our Dafne bikini top in a bright pop of Fuschia to celebrate the end of the week.
SATURDAY
I love a Saturday night dinner in Uruguay. Here I’m wearing our Anabela shirt and Rosalia skirt in black cupro. You can often find me at Borneo in La Barra, one of my favourite spots and it does the best Chipás (a type of small, baked, cheese-flavoured roll). For drinks, I love the beautiful terrace at Hotel Fasano with its vast and sprawling views of some of Uruguay’s most breathtaking forest scenery. Or, Bar 33, a favourite haunt of the locals here.
SUNDAY
After a late Saturday night dinner, I love to go to my favourite bakery, La Linda and pick up some baked goods for me and the family to enjoy. Our Matilda dress in gold, paired with an oversized sunhat is always an easy Sunday-morning look. It brings that little added sunshine to my Sunday and helps me to close the weekend on a good note.
