MONDAY
Monday means business – or business Keilidh-style should I say. It was an office day full of meetings with my team.
When it comes to smart casual, I definitely lean more to the casual side. A blazer isn’t an everyday essential in my wardrobe, so when I do have to show up, I always opt for a co-ord. I think it just automatically looks more professional and put together. This two-piece is from a brand on ASOS called Collusion. I paired it with my chunky loafers from Buffalo London, and a staple cropped t-shirt from Penneys.
For jewellery, I wore a simple gold necklace spelling out my brand’s name KASH. I always have to represent!
TUESDAY
I had an influencer event this evening – nothing an LBD and a pair of tights can’t pull together. My wardrobe is bursting with different pairs of black books that practically look the same… but I can tell the difference (even if it’s tiny) so, my hoarding is necessary. These are a pair from ASOS, and although they might look high and painful, because of the platform and thick heel they are super comfortable. Long gone are my days of wearing stilettos, chunky boots are where it’s at! Paired with a pair of black tights from Penneys, an LBD also from ASOS, and a vintage red blazer (an amazing Depop find) for a pop of colour. I rarely wear colour – as my hair is quite colourful, I find it easier just to wear black, and from being a makeup artist for years, anything black is my uniform essentially… it’s engrained in me. Only the occasional pop of colour makes its way into my day.
WEDNESDAY
A hump day full of meetings in our offices. We are planning something very exciting for tomorrow and the coming weeks, so I will be stationed here for the day. I’m obsessed with this jumper from the Rita Ora x Penneys collection. It gives me very 90s grunge vibes. Paired with the baggiest black jeans possible from Motel Rocks, and a pair of platform adidas Gazelles, I felt like I was reliving my teenage angst era. Maybe not the exact vibe I want to give off for meetings, but comfort was key today when trying to get stuff done!
THURSDAY
I had a very exciting day today. My brand launched 50 billboards and signs around the country in different locations. I knew we would need to be taking lots of pictures, the weather wasn’t great (what’s new), and we would be on the move a lot, so comfort was a necessity. Wearing all black (shock horror!) I opted for a white t-shirt under my jumper to break up all the black. A beanie was essential as we were outside and I couldn’t be dealing with wet hair or it getting stuck in my gloss with the wind. I wore a skort from Zara – I rarely wear skirts, but this one is super comfortable and because it’s a skort you don’t have to worry about flashing anyone! Looking at the positives. This vintage Harley Davidson jacket is like a second skin on me at this stage. The easiest way to add a little more cool to any outfit is an oversized jacket, and I rely heavily on this one.
FRIDAY
Hair appointments call for comfy clothes. I am a huge fan of a funky trouser and plain top combo. These trousers are a recent find from a brand on ASOS called Reclaimed Vintage – I love their stuff. They do a modern take on vintage items. Pairing them with my new loafers from Dr Martens… I was one of those teenage girls who wore their Dr Martens into the ground, they were practically stapled to my feet, a part of my personality. I guess some things never change!
SATURDAY
A last-minute outing on St. Paddy’s weekend – I had not planned on heading out, but with a flat tyre raising its ugly head and no way home, it seemed like it was fate. My granny gave me this old jersey that was sitting in the back of her wardrobe from 1988. It was for a nine-year-old but I made it work as a baby t-shirt kinda style. Paired with a pair of jeans that I stole from my little sister, I was ready to party.
SUNDAY
After a fun night out – comfort is key. I told you I love a funky trouser and plain top combo. I’ve had these trousers so long the tag has worn off so unfortunately, I have no idea where they are from. Paired with a simple black hoodie and a brown leather jacket from Motel Rocks which just has the most amazing, oversized shape. Flared trousers call for a chunky platform, so my Buffalo loafers got yet another outing. Flares + platform shoes = long legs galore.
