Looking for sustainable yet luxurious skincare? This range uses natural and organic ingredients to nourish and protect your skin

Handmade and poured in Carlow, the collection uses bamboo packaging and natural ingredients for a low impact on the environment.

From moisturisers and serums to cleansers and face oils, the number of skincare products we use seems to get longer and longer. If you even look at the products on your shelf and are alarmed by the amount of plastic sitting there, you’re not alone. Yet you still want products that are effective, and pleasurable to use.

Joanne Browne wanted to tackle this very problem when she founded Jo Browne Ireland back in 2016. Her range of natural, organic skincare is luxurious yet sustainable, from the ingredients used to the bamboo packaging.

Low impact

Fast-growing bamboo is an incredibly sustainable material, and Jo has incorporated other parts of the plant in the range, with bamboo powder in the body scrub, bamboo extract in the award-winning facial serum and bamboo silk in the soap.

Not only that, but each product is carefully blended and hand poured in Co Carlow, ensuring small batch production to avoid waste and low transport emissions of the final product to you.

Luxurious

We all know that our skincare rituals are an important moment of self-care in our day, so each Jo Browne product is also luxurious to use, while effectively targeting skin concerns.

Jo Browne
Daily Hydrating Moisturiser, €48

The Daily Hydrating Moisturiser contains a blend of natural and organic luxury oils, including organic rosehip oil to help hydrate and restore elasticity. It also has bakuchiol, a natural, vegan alternative to retinol that’s gentle on sensitive skin, to improve lines, blemishes and pigmentation.

Jo Browne
Facial Serum, €38

The Facial Serum contains silicon derived from bamboo that supports the skin’s collagen synthesis, as well as elderberry extract, which has a regenerative anti-ageing effect. Vitamins and omega fatty acids paired with camellia oil also work to nourish and hydrate all skin types.

Jo Browne
Facial Cleansing Balm, €34

And for a gentle cleansing ritual, the Facial Cleansing Balm contains camellia oil, which nourishes and revitalises delicate dry skin and strengthens its protective barrier, leaving it feeling soft. Taking the time to gently massage it into your skin is a wonderful way to take a moment to relax.

Jo Browne
Luxury Body Oil, €28

To give the whole body a treat, the Luxury Body Oil contains mangosteen oil which hydrates and moisturises the skin, as well as a blend of eight essential oils including bergamot, neroli, palmarosa and rosemary to destress, calm the mind, uplift and brighten your mood.
