Megan Fox: A week in my wardrobe

Megan Fox: A week in my wardrobe

by Megan Fox
23rd Jul 2023

A fashion stylist with a love of neutrals, wide-leg trousers and flowy silhouettes, Megan Fox's personal taste is the epitome of dreamy, boho living. Here she shares a week in her wardrobe.

MONDAY

Shoot prep days mean comfy trousers and a cute top. Neutral shades in browns, creams and whites are usually my go-to if I’m not in head-to-toe black. I love colour and pattern on others, but for me, I like to keep things simple and tend to lean into earthy tones and fabrics. I adore linen all year round, although it really is a great summer fabric. You’ll find me in a version of these wide-leg linen trousers from H&M most days. Dressing for your shape is important. A high-waisted wide-leg pant gives me the best shape. This is also where I feel most comfortable. I don’t love anything being too clingy or stuck to my body. Especially if I am running around town picking up clothes and trying to prep for a shoot. This cropped top from River Island is giving me a Cecilie Bahnsen feel. They do the most incredible dream-like silhouettes. Anything with a puffy sleeve I am here for!

TUESDAY

A day on set in a cream midi dress… not the most practical depending on the shoot but this one is super comfy and again, has a floatiness that I love. I have always leaned towards dresses, mostly out of laziness. It’s a one-stop shop for looking put together. You don’t have to worry about which top will go with what skirt/trousers. This dress is from & Other Stories and has the same slightly puffed sleeve that I love. They tend to do a similar silhouette most years and their fabrics always feel really nice. The second the sun starts to make an appearance, my Birkenstocks come out and won’t leave my feet until late September. They are such a great fit if you have wide feet like me! Super comfy and they go with most outfits.

WEDNESDAY

Today is an admin day. All black to match the mood of having to catch up on emails, invoicing, excel sheets and lots of behind-the-scenes planning shoots and styling clients! It’s not all beautiful clothes and fun days on set. I’m always in a flowy pair of trousers or a skirt. These black wide-leg trousers are from Zara many moons ago and have served me well as a solid go-to. I’ve paired them here with a plain black crop top and sunnies from & Other Stories. This look is easy and put together for popping around town in between emails. My bag is also & Other Stories. They do really great leather bags that get even better with age. You will always find a pair of black chunky boots in my wardrobe. These are from The Kooples but I recently picked up a new pair from All Saints, both of these would be my first point of call when it comes to great leather biker boots. I love to pair my biker boots with girly feminine dresses in the summer too to add some edge.

THURSDAY

Dropbacks and postal returns mean I am up and down to the post office, DHL and many different stores. Comfort is key here. I am in my usual uniform of wide-leg trousers from H&M, Birkenstocks, a cropped lace top from Zara and a cropped linen jacket from & Other Stories. Because I wear so many of the same colours, it often makes getting dressed that little bit easier as you know most things you have can mix and match.

FRIDAY

It’s Friday and I am at meetings about upcoming campaign shoots and plans for events that clients will be attending so I’m a little dressier than a day at the computer on my own. I am without a doubt a summer girl. I hate having to layer and wear so many chunky jumpers, even though I know this is some people’s idea of heaven. Lighter layers and floaty skirts are the way for me. This jacket is probably about as much pattern as you’ll ever see me in. I love the boho vibe to it and the way it looks like it could be Isabel Marant or Etro. I actually found it in Stradivarius a few years ago. Their sizes can run very small but they tend to have some great pieces (like this jacket!) in the summertime. This skirt I fell in love with when TOVE Studio first released this collection. I had my eye on it for so long and also the dress version. TOVE is such a stunning brand and is continuing to grow and evolve so beautifully. Watch this space for ethereal yet chic wedding guest or special occasion wear! After stalking the skirt for so long, eventually, I found it discounted on The Outnet and knew I had to go for it. The Outnet is such a gem for finding special investment pieces. You can find such incredible high-end brands for a fraction of the cost you would normally pay.

SATURDAY

Heading out with friends means something a little more dressed up. This whole look is old Zara. I wish I didn’t wear so much Zara sometimes but they really do create some gems, I can’t help it! I don’t often wear huge tall heels anymore but a little chunky heel does the job with these super wide-leg trousers given they are a bit long on me. This off-the-shoulder top means I need super bronzed skin and lots of gold jewellery. I love Betty and Biddy for gold hoops and cute necklaces and also Inner Island for more sentimental pieces such as the Namara ring that I never take off. It was a gift and I truly love it.

SUNDAY

Sundays are so varied. It’ll start out with leggings and a jumper for a walk, possibly followed by a sea swim and then change into something more fun or dressed up for lunch or dinner. This skirt I bought during the peak of Covid without a notion of when I could ever wear it. But it is by Etro, a favourite brand of mine and I found it again on my favourite site The Outnet for such an amazing price I couldn’t leave her there. A few years later I got to wear the skirt and it feels magical. I have my mini Coach handbag here too that my mam bought me for Christmas a few years ago. It is one of many Coach bags I have. I just love their classic designs and they are a good price point for that higher-end bag without breaking the bank too much. Coach in Kildare Village is always so well-priced too.
