Autumn is the best season, sartorially speaking, at least. And your office workwear is about to get an upgrade...
After two years of WFH, office wear is still a concept many of us are only just coming to terms with. Button-up poplin shirts and pyjama bottoms might have sufficed when meetings were predominantly on Zoom, but in-person interactions require a little more forethought.
The key to taking the stress out of outfit planning? Tailoring your wardrobe around smart investment buys. Build your office attire around staples you can wear in myriad ways – bonus points if they’re pieces you could see yourself wearing outside of the office too.
For example, a structured blazer or a classic trench will never steer you wrong. Black loafers, the current shoe du jour, are another great choice; comfy and chic, you can pair them with everything from pressed suit trousers to plaid pinafores (they look great with patterned tights too). Other essentials range from satin blouses to statement print dresses and of course, cosy knits… it is autumn after all.
