Looks like Paris Hilton's wedding was even more lavish than we had expected (no really)
We honestly cannot wait for all the photos of Paris Hilton and Carter Reum’s weekend to drop – the three-day party is still ongoing with a carnival on Santa Monica pier tonight and a black-tie soiree tomorrow. The heiress has promised her multiple outfit changes, telling Jimmy Fallon that there’ll be “lots of dresses, probably 10. I love outfit changes.”
The wedding took place at Paris’ grandfather’s estate in Bel Air yesterday with guests including Paula Abdul, Emma Roberts, and Tony Bennett. Word is that there were multiple venues at play right up until the last moment and Paris only decided on “the dress” earlier this week, selecting a grand Oscar de la Renta dress for her Thursday nuptials, as her bridesmaids (including a hefty number of RHOBH offspring) wore custom pink Alice + Olivia gowns.
The couple has been together for two years with Reum dropping to one knee last February on the beach of a private island where they were celebrating her birthday. Ever the shrewd businesswoman, the entire proposal was caught on tape, looking perfect planned as they both dressed in coordinated white ensembles. Clips of the proposal have been shared but Paris’ new show on Peacock, This is Paris began airing this week too.
Reum, a venture capitalist who already moved in Hollywood circles prior to meeting Hilton, supported the heiress in her battle against her former boarding school this past April, where she said she suffered physical, verbal and emotional abuse. Both of them have been very open about how right the relationship felt from the very beginning, that they both felt like they were home and had a found missing of themselves.
Following their engagement, Paris wrote on Instagram, “When you find your soulmate, you don’t just know it. You feel it… My love & I have been together since our first date, and for my birthday, he arranged a special trip to tropical paradise. As we walked to dinner along the beach, Carter led us to a cabana adorned with flowers and dropped to one knee. I said yes, yes to forever. There’s no one I’d rather spend forever with.” She has also spoke of their desire to have children and have already begun IVF treatment.
Beyond Paris’ own shot, peeks into the swanky nuptials have been few and far between as of yet. Guests have clearly been asked to port nothing on social media, however, after doing some snooping around the Instagram’s of all the wedding’s vendors so far, this floral display surrounding a wedding cake by artist Jeff Leatham looks right up Paris’ alley and has been widely shared by guests and other vendors at the wedding.
Stay tuned for more!
