Penneys 100% recyclable paper bag is now even more sustainable and ready to wrap up your presents this Christmas.

At Christmas time, when we’re panicking (and sometimes panic-buying) for friends and family, the wrapping part of gift-giving can feel forgotten. But there is nothing like receiving a beautifully wrapped gift, it not only tells you that the person bought you a gift but they wanted it to be perfect for you and put time and effort into its presentation.

Given in a shopping bag with a crumpled up gift receipt just doesn’t have the same impact. That is unless it’s a Penneys bag.

This year, they’re changing up their festive shopping bags to make them even more sustainable.

One of the first big brands to switch to paper bags, Penneys launched their recyclable brown bag way back in 2001.

Now, it’s having a remake just in time for the Christmas season. As well as being 100% recyclable and reusable, the bags will have a completely new life – as wrapping paper.

Covered in a candy cane red stripe, it can be quickly swapped out from shopping bag to beautifully wrapped gift, all you need is a few bits of tape or ribbon.

Now, a last-minute wrapping job won’t look so last minute and there’s no need to panic when you reach the end of the wrapping paper roll. And when someone asks where you got the beautiful wrapping paper, you can say, ‘Thanks, Penneys!”
