Londoners Kate and Richard recently tied the knot in the beautiful Clonwilliam House in Co Wicklow. Highlights include the bride's gorgeous Vivienne Westwood dress, elegant dappled blue florals, and an abundance of musical talent.

PHOTOGRAPHER & VIDEOGRAPHER
Our photographer was Grace from Adam & Grace – she was amazing. We were beyond thrilled with the pictures! Grace made us both feel so at ease and was a joy to be around on the day of our wedding.
Our videographer was Nadine Hyland from Forget Me Not who was also epic to work with. We are not the most comfortable in front of a camera but both Grace and Nadine were superstars with us.
THEY MET
We had been friends for years and bumped into each other in a pub after a rugby match a few years ago. That was our endgame!
THE PROPOSAL
It happened in March 2023 at the Tegalalang Rice Terrace in Ubud, Bali. Richie organised a surprise day trip which started at the Rice Terrace.
It was 7.30am and we had the place to ourselves. I was completely shocked! It was the best way to begin our holiday which was truly a trip to truly remember.
THE DRESS & THE SUIT
My dress was the Galaxy Cape by Vivienne Westwood and Richie’s tux was Louis Copeland.
THE CEREMONY
We were married by Brother Richard Hendrick in the local church in Aughrim. I knew Brother Richard from my time in secondary school and he set the most special tone for our wedding day. We both felt so supported and the ceremony was something we will never forget.
THE RECEPTION
The drinks reception was held back at Clonwilliam House and thankfully we got a sunny afternoon. We had an array of the most amazing canapes prepared by Naomi’s Kitchen – I got my own tray which I was beyond delighted with!
After some speeches outside under the most beautiful flower arch prepared by the Clonwilliam team, we then moved into the dining room. Miriam and her team had prepared the most stunning set-up and the room was filled to the brim with wildflowers and candles. The atmosphere was absolutely electric (probably thanks to the Hugo Spritz cocktails at the drinks reception). We enjoyed every single second and still dream about our incredible wedding dinner prepared by Naomi’s team.
THE ENTERTAINMENT
Kavanagh Ensemble played at our church and drinks reception and were accompanied by Rachel Grace who has the voice of an angel. It was incredibly special to hear her singing one of my favourite songs walking down the aisle. Our band was The Mixtape, who were so much fun – they got the crowd going from the first dance and we didn’t leave the dancefloor for the entire night (literally).
THE DECOR
The décor at our reception was all done by Miriam Clune and her team at Clonwilliam House. Miriam has unparalleled attention to detail and from the first meeting, we knew she would create the most magical weekend for us. Our expectations were far exceeded. We wanted the décor to match the beauty of Wicklow – nothing much was even needed in that regard as Clonwilliam House itself and the backdrop of Woodenbridge are so stunning. Clonwilliam really felt like our home for the weekend and that was all thanks to Miriam and her wonderful team.
Carrie from Fields Florist in Wicklow town prepared the flowers for our church ceremony and also our bouquets and the buttonholes for the men. Carrie was a dream to work with and our flowers were simply stunning.
THEIR TOP TIPS
Be with each other and soak it all up. So much time is spent organising your wedding day so enjoy it together – dance, laugh and be in the moment. It only comes once!
THEY WISH THEY HAD
Nothing. Something always goes wrong but what can you do? Just enjoy it all.
THEIR BEST MOMENTS
There really are too many to choose from – to us, everything was our best moment.
