Sinead O’Brien: A week in my wardrobe

Sinead O’Brien: A week in my wardrobe

by Sarah Finnan
02nd Jun 2024

As a proud advocate for body positivity, Sinéad O’Brien – or @sineadscurvystyle as she’s known online – loves sharing her outfits on Instagram. Launching her own brand, Vacious by Sinéad, back in 2021, she recently unveiled a new collection of bodysuits which have already proven very popular. She shares a week in her wardrobe below.

MONDAY

I always start my week off with my absolute favourite staple piece, my recently launched Vacious bodysuit. It’s unlike any other piece in my wardrobe, offering daily compression and shaping and is such a versatile piece to dress up or down. Today, I had meetings and admin with the team at Vacious HQ so comfort was key whilst also being stylish to kick my week off.

TUESDAY

I started my day off in the office to check in with my team followed by a day out of wedding prep! I was hitting the road to Dublin so opted for my Tesco trench which is the perfect addition to my casual looks to enhance the overall style. I’m also wearing a Tesco T-shirt to add a soft pop of colour for spring. Threw on my River Island jeans to finish off the look.

WEDNESDAY

Wednesday is shoot day for Vacious. I love to prioritise comfort for busy shoot days. This 4th Arq fleece is so convenient to throw on when I’m on the go and want to stay comfortable and cosy. I paired it with some casual River Island jeans, I’ve been wearing the Molly jeans for years and find them the perfect fit. I finished off the look accessorising it with my tote bag.

THURSDAY

Thursday I jetted off on my holiday to Portugal! I was there for a friend’s wedding and to organise some details for my own upcoming wedding this September. This Boohoo dress was one of my favourites of the trip. I love the bold and vibrant colour, with the ruffle layers making the dress super slimming – who doesn’t love a maxi on holidays?! I finished the look off with my Mantra sunglasses, another amazing Irish brand I love to support. Their quality is brilliant and perfect for any summer look.

FRIDAY

Today I chose this stunning dress from Lily Rose boutique in Kilkenny. They have an amazing plus size range available and this dress had to go in my suitcase! It’s the perfect addition to my holiday wardrobe. I particularly love the pink colour, but what really caught my eye was the amazing texture and print. It’s also super lightweight which was so necessary for the Portugal heat and it paired perfectly with my Penneys flats. When I’m away it’s a no heels zone! I always pack three to four pairs of flats.

SATURDAY

On Saturday I had my friend’s wedding and thought this Next dress was the perfect summer wedding guest look! It went down a storm on my socials and everybody loved it. It’s the perfect style for any shape, I particularly loved the colour palette and print of the dress, with the open shoulder neckline. I wore a great strapless bra from Belle Femme (an Irish boutique) which I highly recommend for bigger busted ladies. This picture was taken on the stunning Lady of the Rock, where the ceremony took place.

SUNDAY

Sunday we headed to our own wedding venue to do our food tasting and meet with some suppliers. This was one of my favourite looks of the week from Zara, I wore a size XL, which I’m delighted to say was a great fit compared to sometimes snug Zara sizes. I paired it with my Mantra shades and this gorgeous sun hat from Penneys which really finished off the look. I felt very elegant whilst also being super comfortable for my food tasting! It was a great way to finish off my week.
