Despite the rain, Saturday’s Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Festival at The Curragh was brimming with stylish attendees.

Despite the rain, attendees at Saturday’s Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Festival at The Curragh brought style in spades. Racegoers who embraced the “Power Chic” challenge showcased some serious sartorial prowess, but the title of the The K Club’s Most Stylish Racegoer 2024, could only go to one attendee and that was Davinia Knight from Portarlington, Co Galway. Davina’s headpiece from Jennifer Hats Emporium in the Curragh, paired with her dress from Harpers Boutique in Galway – caught the judges attention for its monochrome elegance.

Pop favourite Lyra and IMAGE Media’s very own Editorial Director Dominique McMullan (wearing Irish Designer Roisin Linnane) had the difficult task of choosing a winner from the hundreds of Derby attendees. They were on the lookout for the individual who best embodied the ‘Power Chic’ theme, as well as a winning smile and confidence to match. After careful consideration, Davinia’s outfit emerged as the standout, perfectly balancing contemporary edge with timeless taste.

Davinia was presented with a fabulous prize: an activity-filled three-night stay at The K Club, Co Kildare. This luxury resort, known for its opulence and world-class amenities, promises an unforgettable experience for the winner. The prize was presented by The K Club’s General Manager and CEO, Paul Heery.

The event not only highlighted the best in horse racing but also underscored the vibrant fashion culture that accompanies it, making it a memorable day for all who attended.
