With a career spanning over 30 years, Sinead Keenan started out as an in-house stylist at Brown Thomas in 1993. Now, between styling, directing, and consultancy duties, Sinead serves as a contributing fashion editor at IMAGE Magazine.
Here, we get an exclusive glimpse into her enviable wardrobe.
I don’t think I have a specific style… How I dress depends on my mood and where I’m going. For styling shoots and working on set, I opt for laid back style and an emphasis on comfort with a pared back minimal look. When I’m hosting or presenting events and going out, I usually go for a more glamorous yet sophisticated look. I tend to be drawn to a darker palette or neutrals like black, grey, navy, olive and camels.
For daytime, I love a chunky flat boot, that will work with almost everything in my wardrobe.
The Landskein has the most beautiful range of versatile coats, perfect with a laid-back look like denim for daytime and they work over more elevated pieces for evening too.
I love a cropped flared jean that works with my chunky boots and trainers and also looks fabulous with a kitten heel.
Colin Burke… the dream!
My tiny Maria Tash diamond hoop teamed with huggies from Loulerie.
A crossbody bag is essential for my work. All I really need to carry is my phone/wallet/lipstick, leaving my hands free when out sourcing and styling for shoots. I love the selection of vegan leather bags by Themoire at Ecru Studios. Most can be worn as a crossbody or as a clutch.
For Sunday family walks with our beloved dog Bonnie, my go to cosy casual piece is an oversized soft cosy sweatshirt like these styles from Arket and Anine Bing.
Olivia Von Halle… pure luxury and comfort meets elegance and style.
A statement earring and winged liner!
A full-length red silk Galliano skirt I bought in 2003 for a family wedding. It nearly bankrupted me at the time but it’s still a treasured piece that I hope my daughter will also love to wear someday.
Any piece from the new Pheobe Philo collection.. if there’s anything left!
I have a special place in my heart for Jenny Vander. A treasure trove of special pieces especially for evening wear and my mum gifted me my wedding jewellery from here.
I don’t really follow many fashion influencers but love Pernille Teisbaek, and Smyth Sisters.
I think they get it right in terms of cool, modern, sophisticated style. I like to follow other fashion creatives for inspiration and in particular my stylist hero Kate Phelan.
