From her does-it-all coat, to her wear-everywhere handbag, here are Justine King’s favourite fashion finds.
A Dublin-based fashion stylist, writer and broadcaster, Justine King has styled some of the best-known musicians and personalities on Irish shores. A regular contributor to Ireland AM’s fashion corner, Justine is a woman with a wealth of knowledge on all things stylish. Here, we get an exclusive glimpse into her enviable wardrobe.
How would you describe your personal style?
It kind of depends on my mood and can vary from day to day. I do love a soft bohemian dress and then I also love a contrasting chunky biker boot. I’m drawn to bold colours and playful prints, so my style uniform, when I am making any sort of effort, is typically a colourful print dress teamed with sock boots. Since becoming a mum. my day-to-day style uniform is a lot more practical, so you’ll usually find me in jeans, trainers and an oversized jumper.
The go-to shoe/trainers
I’m a year-round boots kind of girl so a versatile boot in tan or black that will work equally well paired with a summer dress on a July day in Ireland as it will with a denim jean and coat in winter would be the ultimate go-to shoe for me.

The does-it-all coat
Does this exist? Every year I tell myself I will be investing in a black wool winter coat that will go with everything and then I’m distracted by fun colours and finish the season with a magenta-pink coat, yet another leather jacket and a completely impractical shearling, promising myself that next year I’ll get that does-it-all black coat…
The perfect jeans
I love the Topshop Editor straight denim jeans. I have them in three blue denim washes and need to get more as I live in them.
The must-have knitwear
I’m a huge Cashmere fan. It’s pricey but once you put it against your skin, you’ll never go near an itchy acrylic again. Mind it and you’ll have it for years. I still wear my granny’s cashmere which I inherited when she passed away.
The everyday jewellery
I’m slowly investing in solid gold for all of my everyday pieces so I’ll have them forever and don’t have to worry about them tarnishing from showering, hand creams etc. My solid gold rings are Chupi, my gold hoops are Holly + Evie and my gold necklace is AMOC Jewellery, so all from fabulous Irish jewellery designers.
The wear-everywhere handbag
I love the ByKelly cross-body bags (sold in Serena Boutiques) as you can change the straps and they’re all fun prints, making it look like a different bag each time.

The Sunday cosy casual look
Oversized jumper, Spanx Moto leggings and a biker boot.
The ultimate pyjamas
I love the Lil&Izzy organic cotton Mama pyjamas. They wash and wear so well.
The party look essential
You can’t go wrong with a fabulous shoe. There’s a limit to how many times you can wear the same party dress but a beautiful shoe (for me a pointed satin court shoe with a mega heel) can be worn with dresses, jeans etc. an unlimited amount of times.
The most treasured piece
I still adore my 30th birthday dress, I loved wearing it on the night and every time I have worn it since, I still feel great in it. It’s partly nostalgia and partly just because it’s a beautiful dress.

The wishlist item
A Maxmara coat. Timelessly gorgeous.
The vintage shop to know
Beacon’s Closet in Williamsburg, a vintage clothing mecca. I was obsessed with it when I lived in New York and go there every time I visit.
Who to follow for style on social media
I love @fashion_jackson and @stylebysanne_ for everyday style inspiration.
The beauty essentials / self-care ritual
I adore the Nunaia Beauty Nourishing Radiance Serum for the ultimate skin indulgence. My self-care routine is about prioritising early nights, hot bubble baths and regular massages.
