Patterned tights, chunky boots, cosy knits and complete and utter comfort, team IMAGE are stepping into a new season in style. Here’s what we’re shopping for this autumn…

I was glued to the streetstyle at Copenhagen Fashion Week so naturally, a distressed brown leather jacket is top of my wishlist this autumn. I love this one by Worn Vintage – it’s the perfect shade of chocolate and I know I’ll wear it for years to come.
I’ve also been eyeing up a jumper from Pellador for several weeks now… it feels like a personal attack that their ‘90s Ireland football knit is only out of stock in my size. New runners and an oversized denim shirt are the only other things I’ve been coveting lately.

I’ve long given up on my unworn summer clothes and am eagerly looking forward to rediscovering my favourite knits and boots. I’ve been on the lookout for a simple black crossbody for a while and this one by Irish brand Al?o ticks all the boxes. Knitwear that feels a little bit fancier than the average is basically my ideal garment, while these chunky loafers will go with everything in my wardrobe. I’m also dreaming about this gorgeously oversized camel coat.

For me, autumn is all about layering. The temperatures can still be on the milder side so having pieces that can be worn together and separately are key. I have been dreaming about the oversized leather jacket from Jane & Tash for a long time now. The olive green shade is calling my name. Pair it with light knits, Levi jeans and the perfect pair of boots. Having a few key items will create a perfect capsule and transitional autumn wardrobe.

It is hard to believe summer is coming to an end, and to ease myself into winter I prefer to make subtle changes. Warming up with a scarf, or changing my sandals for BIRKENSTOCK Boston clogs which are as comfortable as slippers can easily be worn through winter when paired with some Madigans cashmere socks. Shorter nights means more time in bed and a pair of linen PJs is the bees knees. Top that with a light jacket and a pair of airpod max headphones for my winter walks.

A pair of Onitsuka Tiger trainers are top of my wishlist for Autumn. I plan on wearing them with this white midi skirt from NA-KD or this black Midi Dress from GANNI. I know summer is nearly over, but I’m going to Italy in September and have this beautiful co-ord from a spanish brand called INE?S CRISTOS on my wishlist. I know I’ll get tonnes of wear out of it next summer too!

This autumn, you’ll find me happily hibernating. I’m one of those odd people that actually enjoy the days getting shorter and night drawing in, as it’s the best excuse to hide away with a good book. Right now, I’m immersed in Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver and loving it (like a compelling cross between The Glass Castle and Empire of Pain), wrapped up in the mood-lifting limited edition ‘Blocks’ moss-stitch blanket designed by young Irish designer Ellie Dunne for Ireland’s Eye knitwear.
I’m also looking forward to upgrading my nails with a punch of rich, deep red from Chanel’s sumptuous new autumn ‘Equinoxe’ collection, while dreaming of bagging any one of the new a/w 23 coats from the new The Landskein collection.

I, for one, am completely and utterly delighted to get back to autumnal dressing. An array of patterned tights, a fleece from my favourite Galway vintage store, a pair of Doc Martens and I’m good to go. I’ve also been eyeing up that Anthropologie shift dress, which is not a want but a need, and I’ve decided I’m going to be a leopard print person now. Starting small with a little silk cami, but just you wait. Pat Butcher this way comes.
