Thalia Heffernan: A week in my wardrobe

Thalia Heffernan: A week in my wardrobe

by Thalia Heffernan
26th Nov 2023

As a model, Thalia Heffernan has become well accustomed to being around beautiful clothes. In her day to day life, her style is much more casual with baggy jeans, crop tops and trainers on rotation. Here she shares a week in her wardrobe.

MONDAY

Usually, my Mondays are admin days. I rarely shoot on Mondays, so I take the day to get ready for the week. I’ll either get in to train with my trainer Steffan in his gym SF1 or go for a walk with my dogs before doing emails, laundry, and other not so exciting stuff. I also tend to do my food shop on a Monday and meal prep for the next two days so I have food ready when the week starts to get busier. Because Monday is an off-work day, I’m usually very casual. I always go for comfort, especially on days like today, so I chose cargos and a crop with my second hand Nike x Stefan Janoski collab trainers and Versace sunnies.

TUESDAY

Today was a shoot day, so once again I tend to go to set pretty comfy as I’m only in my own clothes for hair and make-up and lunch. It was actually quite a nice day when I left my house, so I went with a khaki (can you tell green is my fave colour?) tank from Zara, a cropped faux leather jacket also from Zara and jeans from Ronny Kobo

WEDNESDAY

Wednesday was a day of meetings and gym for me. I headed to my trainer Steffan in the morning then met with my agency and saw some friends and family. Being back in Dublin is so great. I’m still pretty fresh on the ground so catching up with people is a real priority at the minute and I’m loving it. Again, on days like today, comfort is key. I tend to stay pretty casual and minimal during the week and add jewellery to my ‘fits to dress them up a little. Today I went with a double denim look. My jacket is vintage and I picked it up in my favourite vintage shop – The Big Smoke – in Temple Bar. My jeans are from Zara and my top is from Cos! The bag is vintage Prada and my sunglasses are Prada too.

THURSDAY

Thursday was show day. We had a gorgeous evening show for Brown Thomas where we showcased the new season collections in store. This was my absolute favourite look, all Max Mara Studio. The dress was such a gorgeous shape and the belt was such a statement but this coat was the winner for me. I love that I get to wear such beautiful pieces with my job and it keeps me up to date on all the latest trends too! I consider myself very lucky.

FRIDAY

Friday was another shoot day. I was working in the beautiful Intercontinental Hotel and managed to get a quick pic of my outfit between changes. I opted for a vintage Adidas jacket which I also got at The Big Smoke – I wear this religiously, if you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know!  My top is actually from Brandy Melville, it has a gorgeous low scoop back and is a nice mid-length crop… great for throwing on during the day or dressing up at night. My jeans are vintage Wrangler.

SATURDAY

Saturday, I went out with a friend to a paint and pour class. We had spent the day with the dogs and then did some shopping beforehand so we kept it casual and comfy. This green tracksuit is a staple in my wardrobe, also from Brandy Melville. I picked it up in New York and wear it all of the time. It’s super heavy and warm and, coming into winter, I know it will keep me super cosy. I paired it with gold jewellery and vintage Gucci slides.

SUNDAY

Sunday I strolled around in the autumn sunshine and took it super handy. I went into Power Gym in the morning and did an easy light workout, so to dress up my gym gear I added a longline jacket. This one is from Zara. I love the masculine shape. I finished the look off with sme of the comfiest socks I own from Uniqlo and Birkenstocks. The gym set is a favourite from Bo and Tee.I also added a black hoodie later in the day when the sun started to set. Sunnies are Versace.
