The Brown Thomas Spring Summer 2022 show has us planning our new-season wardrobes
From statement dresses to laid-back separates, it’s your guide for the season ahead.
Spring is always a time of anticipation: looking forward to warmer, longer days after the winter, and the accompanying sense of freedom that comes with them. Flashes of skin, bright colours, and a laid back vibe are all hallmarks of the spring summer wardrobe.
But this year it all feels loaded with extra excitement. This spring, we truly feel like we are emerging into something new – a shift away from the limitations of the past two years. And it is this mood that Shelly Corkery, Brown Thomas fashion buying director, and her team have allowed to act as their lead for the SS22 collection.
Joyful colour plays a big part in the collection, with brights reflecting our more positive outlook, while stylish workwear is also making a reappearance. Shot in Fuerteventura by Perry Ogden and styled by Darren Feeney, it’s already making us plan out the pieces that we’ll centre our new-season wardrobes around.
Highlights include a voluminous Roksanda dress (main image), and laid back fringed separates from Zimmerman (above). A strappy Etro dress has us dreaming of a sun holiday, while a stunning silk draped Stella McCartney dress would be perfect for a spring wedding.
There are plenty of new brands appearing on the shop floor this season too. Try Alessandra Rich for feminine dresses, Etro for colourful prints with a resort vibe, or Gabriela Hearst for timeless pieces full of beautiful details.
