Calculate the cost per wear and these coats basically pay for themselves... or that's what we're telling ourselves anyway.
As an eternally cold creature, I just cannot fathom how people ever leave the house without a coat. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that I have cryophobia (fear of extreme cold), but I definitely do all I can to avoid the sensation. Even while at home. I pushed for the attic room for a reason… heat rises, don’t ya know?!
My first thought upon leaving the house – no matter the season – is always, “will I be warm enough?” Which often leads to me panicking that I won’t be and throwing a few extra layers in my bag. I’d rather be overprepared than hypothermic. These days I’m just short of attaching my hot water bottle to me with a belt (which I’ve actually already done a few times, highly recommend if you’re a fellow #coldgirl). Proud as I am of my mobile heating contraption, purchasing a good, warm coat would probably help solve a lot of my problems though (and save me from singing out “it’s bloody freezing” at the slightest lull in conversation).
Many of the coats of my youth were warm but frumpy and very unfashionable. Thankfully, I’ve since learned that you don’t have to sacrifice one for the other and there are many high street and designer options that combine both in one neat little package.

Everyone loves a bargain and coats are definitely an investment buy so any money off the original price is a bonus. Here are a few of the coats we’ll be lusting after in the Black Friday sales this year.
