This is Siobhan McAuley’s go-to SPF for everyday wear

The luxury travel and lifestyle content creator shares the hero skincare products that are an absolute must when flying overseas.

Otherwise known by the Instagram handle @they.wanderlust, Siobhan McAuley is a lifestyle and travel creative that’s been inspiring people to travel with their children and embrace the skin they’re in for years.

Naturally, as someone who spends more than her fair share of time in the sun, SPF is of paramount importance to Siobhan. Having trialled plenty of options from different brands, she’s spent the past four weeks trialling the No7 Future Renew range, and it seems she’s found her new hero factor 50.

The range is clinically proven to reverse visible signs of skin damage*, and its exciting new No7 Future Renew Damage Protection Defence Shield SPF50 helps protect against visible signs of skin damage caused by the sun**.

Read on for Siobhan’s review below…

As a mum of two young boys, time to yourself is precious. What’s your go-to beauty regimen when you’re in a rush?

Life is ALWAYS busy with my two boys so I have definitely adopted a ‘less is more’ beauty regimen. I invest in high-quality products that cater specifically to my individual skincare needs, ensuring my beauty is never compromised and my time is always optimised.

For the school runs/everyday life I cleanse my skin, and while my skin is still wet, I brush up my brows with my conditioner-filled spoolie. Brows really transform how I look, so I get them laminated. That way, all I have to do is brush them up each morning and they stay groomed and in place until the next day.

I then apply my serum, cream and SPF. If I am going to an event or filming, I simply apply some BB cream and liquid blush to the apples of my cheeks, tip of my nose, and base of my brows, lash on some mascara, and that’s me set!

Do you consider skincare as self-care?

Absolutely! After all, the biggest investment should always be in yourself. If my cup is half full, it inhibits my ability to give 100% to my family or anyone else.

When it comes to beauty, what ingredient is worth the hype?

SPF is the holy grail of beauty and skincare products for me! Up to 80% of premature skin ageing is caused by the sun, so if you want youthful, plump and radiant skin, you have to protect it. No7 Future Renew Damage Protection Defence Shield SPF50 helps protect against visible signs of skin damage caused by the sun**, so I wear it every day.

As a frequent traveller, what beauty essentials would you never travel without?

What I carry with me all depends on where I am going, as some products and tools don’t work where I go. I pack my cordless hair straightener with me for my US trips, as my hair tools don’t work with that territory’s voltage. I charge it fully and can normally manage three days of styling with it, and I can carry it in my handbag. I also carry my travel-size cleanser, baby wipes, Vaseline, and skin balm to use during my flight to keep my skin hydrated. I never wear make-up on flights and I always bring a hair bobbin and a brush to keep my hair neat for arrival, especially for overnight flights.

Whenever I am travelling to a humid/ tropical destination I travel lighter in terms of beauty products. I pack a lipstick for fine dining dinner nights, waterproof mascara, blush and PLENTY of SPF for all the family. I pack restorative shampoo and conditioner to protect my hair from salt and UV damage. I use a natural oil like coconut or cacao in my hair during the day for extra nourishment from seawater and chlorine. I’m a big water baby!

What did you think of the No7 Future Renew Damage Reversal range? What results have you seen since you’ve started using it?

I have been using the products for almost a month now and have begun to see them reverse visible signs of skin damage. I used the No7 Future Renew Damage Reversal Serum and noticed that it has improved the appearance of uneven skin tone*.

What’s your favourite part about the No7 Future Renew Damage Protection Defence Shield SPF50? How does it sit underneath make-up?

I love it! As I’ve mentioned, SPF is the holy grail of all skincare and beauty products, and this one gets a big thumbs up from me. It contains No7’s highest SPF50 sun protection with age-defying peptide technology and hydrating Sodium Hyaluronate. It’s also hydrating, lightweight, and has an invisible finish***. I will definitely be packing it in my bag for all my trips from now on.
