Call off the search, we’ve found the best natural deodorant scents in the game. The best part? They’re handmade in small batches in county Cork.

By now, we should all be aware of just how damaging aerosol deodorants can be for both ourselves and the environment, but even your run-of-the-mill roll-on can contain a whole lot of nasty chemicals that you most definitely do not want touching your skin. Enter eco-friendly natural deodorant brand, Vico.

Born out of a frustration at the lack of good alternatives to mainstream deodorants and antiperspirants, Vico came to life at the kitchen table and has grown massively over the past two years to a small-scale facility in Cork where each deodorant is made by hand.

A family business dedicated to producing vegan and cruelty-free unisex deodorants that come in plastic-free packaging and last for up to three months, their aim is to help people make the switch to a healthier deodorant that’s not only good for them, but good for the environment. They source natural ingredients and materials from other local small businesses, and put a hell of a lot of work into retaining that all-important 4.9 out of 5-star rating.

Their range includes scents like Atlantic Sea Breeze, Orange Blossom, Lavender and Lemongrass, and they’ve also just launched two new limited edition scents—Luxurious Oud and Dark Orchid—that are only available while stocks last.

Luxurious Oud is a scent that combines the deep, resinous notes of oud wood with a subtle blend of spices, offering a warm, inviting aroma that is both grounding and indulgent, while Dark Orchid is a captivating scent that combines the exotic allure of rare orchids with a velvety touch of dark florals and spice.

With plans to launch plenty more new scents throughout 2024, including the return of fan favourites like Wexford Strawberry and Piña Colada, Vico are also working on a natural, plastic-free soap range which they hope to launch in May, followed by a natural, single-use plastic free body wash range later in the year.

So, what do you say, are you converted yet?
