From Irish make-up staples to a range of cult heroes and viral must-haves, we asked team IMAGE to open up their make-up bags to share the beauty essentials that will see them through the season.

I vowed a long time ago (two weeks ago) that chapped lips will not exist for me in AW24. I simply refuse to let it happen, and the Skin Formulas Tripeptide Lip Treatment, €35, is my secret weapon. It’s got collagen-boosting properties, and it’s so very nourishing. I liberally apply it throughout the day and smother my lips in it before I go to sleep. On the subject of lips, I’ve still got a soft spot for the viral Clinique Black Honey Almost Lipstick, €29.50. It glides on and wears off smoothly, and doesn’t dry your lips out, which is apparently my biggest fear. The sun barely kissed me this summer (actually quite offended), so my ghostly appearance will need some enhancing this autumn, and I love the Chanel Les Beiges Bronzing Cream, €55. It’s really buildable, and I tend to work it into my eyes, cheeks, forehead and neck so that my face is all nice and cohesively snatched. I will also be repurchasing the Glossier Cloud Paint in Beam, €27. I unconsciously made the decision to switch to the more coral-toned Dawn shade for summer and lost my dear old Beam, but I need that peachy softness for the months ahead. Yes, I need it — we all have different priorities, leave me alone!

There are a few holy grail items in my make-up bag that I simply can’t live without. First up is my Schwarzkopf GOT2B Eyebrow Gel, €6.99, this stuff is magic! It keeps my brows in place all day and even works wonders on flyaways. There is no residue when it dries, and the bright yellow packaging makes it so easy to spot in my bag! I’m obsessed with the Sculpted by Aimee Lip Duos, €19. It has a lip liner on one end and a hydrating lipstick on the other, and it’s been a total game changer. I’ve had so many women stop me to ask where I got it! The lipstick sits beautifully and comes in a stunning variety of shades. Lastly, my make-up bag itself is a lifesaver. I switched to a drawstring style, €8, that opens up flat, so all my products are visible at once. It’s perfect for travel and has seriously made my life so much easier.

Every autumn I always swap my peachy pink blush out for a red-toned or mauve shade. This year I am loving the KASH Beauty Skin Glaze Blush in the shade Lumi Rouge and Love Bug, €19.95 each. The Nearly Mauve Melting Blush from Rare Beauty, €25, is my favourite mauve-toned blush!

I hadn’t worn lipgloss since the glory days of Juicy Tubes in the early 00s but I am a total convert to the Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment in Watermelon Slice, €23. It gives that perfect combination of glossy shine and durability but without the hair-strewn sticky lips so reminiscent of my teenage years! A must for your handbag…

Lately, I’ve been going au naturel with my make-up, so my beauty bag is a little lighter than usual! Almost all of my beauty products are Irish, and my make-up bag is filled with Sculpted by Aimee. I love the lightness and glow of Hydra Tint, €25 in shade 4.5, paired with the dewy finish of the Cream Luxe Blush, €19 in Dusty Rose. Lip & Shine, €19, in Mocha is my go-to everyday lip, it’s a bit darker than my summer shade. With the cooler weather, my skin tends to get a bit drier, so I love spritzing the Holos Super Natural Activity Pre & Probiotic Spritz, €35 throughout the day. At night, I layer on the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, €24 to (hopefully) keep my lips chap-free all season long!

My make-up bag is full to the brim of Irish products. Poco Beauty Universal Glow, €30, is a must-have for tired mum skin, it gives me a 9-hours-of-sleep-glow that I could never achieve in my real life. I love Sculpted By Aimee’s Cloud Cream, €35, for bouncy, hydrated skin under make-up and her Liquid Lights Blush in Pink Pop, €21, is the perfect mix of highlighter and blush for a rosy glow.
